The Ancalaespina are members of the Bunaeini tribe of Subfamily Saturniinae, Family Saturniidae. These moths fly in Africa and surrounding islands. Moths are usually classified as Gynanisa (Walker, 1855), with Ancalaespina being a junior synonym for Gynanisa.
