DISTRIBUTION:
Adafroptilum austriorientale
(wingspan: males: 51-54mm; females: probably larger)
flies in
Mozambique: Andrada.
FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:
Moths are on the wing in . There are probably additional flight months.
Adafroptilum austriorientale larval hosts are unknown.
ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:
EGGS, LARVAE, PUPAE, COCOONS:
Eggs are deposited
Larvae probably descend the host plant at pupation time and spin up a thin cocoon at the base of hostplants.
The species name, austriorientale is indicative of the more southerly and easterly range of the species in Mozambique.
