DISTRIBUTION:

Cinabra kitalei is reported from
northwest Kenya;
Nigeria; and
Cameroon, in central Africa.

I suspect it would probably also be found in
the Central African Republic and
possibly southern Sudan and northern Uganda.

It may be only subspecies clementi that is found in Nigeria and Cameroon.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

If our identification of the images on this page is correct, there is at least one flight in western Kenya in February.

Cinabra kitalei larvae probably feed upon Berlinia paniculata, Brachystegia randii, Brachystegia spiciformis, Brachystegia venosa, Ekebergia, Julbernardia, Acacia baileyanna, Protea, Prunus and Robinia pseudacacia.
