DISTRIBUTION:

Holocerina menieri (wingspan: males: 53-55mm; females: larger) flies in
Afars and Issas = Djibouti, Africa. Thierry Bouyer confirms it flies in
Kenya.

BOLD SYSTEMS lists it in
Ethiopia and
Djibouti.

I suspect the larvae serve as a valuable human food source.
