DISTRIBUTION:
Nudaurelia dargei (wingspan: males 117mm; females: 120mm) flies in
Malawi: Mzuzu; and Tanzania.
Possibly?? it also flies in nearby Zambia and Mozambique.
FOOD PLANTS; FLIGHT DATES:
Foodplant hosts are unknown as of this writing. Specimens have been taken in early February.
ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

EGGS, LARVAE, COCOONS, AND PUPAE:
Tightly adhering eggs are deposited in clusters of 10-30 on leaves or foodplant twigs.
First instar larvae are probably highly gregarious.
Pupation is in the soil, possibly inside the fifth instar larval skin.
