DISTRIBUTION:

Orthogonioptilum deletum (wingspan: males: 59-65mm; females: larger) flies in
eastern Ivory Coast: Divo, Agboville, Ake Befiat, Mokta; and
Ghana (northwest of Dimkwa on NHM website).

The forewing is very falcate with a concave outer margin. The internal lines are very weak, while the external markings are more distinct. Ground colour is dull beige with brighter orange near the cell and along the inside edge of the scalloped pm line. The subterminal and terminal areas are greyish.

There are two to three tiny "points of light" with the lowest one being the largest.

The hindwing outer margin is rounded. The scalloped pm line is well marked. There are three small points of light with the lowest being the largest.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

This moth possibly flies in April-May. Records exist for an October-November flight.

Orthogonioptilum deletum larval hosts are unknown.
