DISTRIBUTION:

Orthogonioptilum galleyi (wingspan: males: 60mm; females: larger) flies in Cameroon.

The male forewing is fairly falcate with a slightly rounded apex. The hindwing is large and rounded with a straight inner margin. Ground colour is dull brown with the line markings only slightly visible.

Cell spots are tiny and dark, and are surrounded by slightly lighter areas. The ventral surface is even darker, and the female is not yet described.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

This moth flies in April and possibly again in the fall.
