DISTRIBUTION:

Orthogonioptilum perarcuatum (wingspan: males: 51-54mm; females: 66mm) flies in
southwestern Central African Republic: Lobaye, Bangui; and
northern Congo: 19 km west of Ouesso.

This is one of the smaller species of the prox group. The forewing is very falcate. The hindwing outer margin is a bit convex.

The body and the ground colour of the wings are a bright reddish-brown. There is a single, well defined "point of light", sometimes accompanied by another, smaller one on the forewing.

The hindwing is a tawny brown, redder near the single "point of light" which is often accompanied by some smaller spots.
