Dacunju jucunda

Nigel Voaden

Nigel Voaden of United Kingdom has provided a number of beautiful images of live Saturniidae from Africa and from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Nigel has also provided a large set of images from Sakania, Katanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Sakania is very close to the border with Copper Belt, Zambia, and I have used collecting data from Zambia (Robert Minetti), published by Philippe Darge, to help with identifications of those specimens from DRC. Robert has also provided images from further north: Bambari, Ouaka, Republic of Central Africa. There are some very beautiful moths in the areas cited.

For the first time a live male Nudaurelia macrops is displayed on WLSS.
