Mothly Newsletter:
March 16, 2022 - April 15, 2022
I am making slow but steady progress with updates to WLSS and Sphingidae of the Americas websites, and am currently working on Hylesia, which I am sure will be quite tedious with so many very similar species. At least the days are getting longer and brighter and warmer even though we are having some snow today, March 29.
I have begun to contact my USA egg shipping partners, and I expect we will be ready to ship some eggs from Alabama soon as luna and polyphemus males have already been seen at lights. We expect to have the following from Alabama:
Actias luna at $18.00US for one dozen; $24.00 for two dozen; $30.00 for three dozen
Antheraea polyphemus at $18.00 for one dozen; $24.00 for two dozen; $30.00 for three dozen
Hyalophora cecropia at $20.00 for one dozen; $27.00 for two dozen; $34.00 for three dozen
Eacles imperialis at $20.00 for one dozen; $27.00 for two dozen; $34.00 for three dozen

Callosamia securifera at $20.00 for one dozen; $27.00 for two dozen; $34.00 for three dozen
A bit later on we are also expecting to have eggs of the following species for shipping within USA:
All of the above plus

I am also hopeful that we might have some species from Arizona: Eupackardia calleta and possibly some others
In Canada we expect to have the following available for shipping, starting around mid June:
Actias luna at $6.00CDN/dozen plus S & H which will depend upon your location.
Anisota virginiensis at $6.00/dozen plus S & H which will depend upon your location.
Antheraea polyphemus at $6.00/dozen plus S & H which will depend upon your location.

Hyalophora cecropia at $8.00/dozen plus S & H which will depend upon your location.
Hyalophora columbia columbia at $8.00/dozen plus S & H which will depend upon your location.
When placing an order for eggs, please be sure to include all of the following with your initital request:
1) complete shipping address;
2) species desired and quantities of each, shipped in multiples of 12 (one dozen; two dozen; three dozen, etc.;
3) intended payment method (interac e transfer preferred in Canada; Paypal prefered in USA), but I also accept personal checks, bank drafts and money orders.
Please dod not send money until I have confirmed your request and have notified you of amount and method. With paypal payments there will be an extra 4.5% Paypal transaction fee. If you will be sending personal checks, I will probably request that you send a separate check for each species requested and that you write across the bottom of each check the species for which the payment is intended.
If you would like to become an egg shipping partner, please let me know Bill Oehlke. I am especially interested in finding suppliers for western species.
