ANTHERAEOPSIS WOOD-MASON, 1886

Antheraeopsis is considered a subgenus of Antheraea and belongs to the Saturniini tribe of Subfamily Saturniinae, Family Saturniidae.

The subgenus consists of two groups:
1) castanea-group (sensu U. Paukstadt, L.H. Paukstadt & Brosch, 1998), =
assamensis-group (sensu Nässig, 1991) [senior synonym]
2) youngi-group (sensu Nässig, 1991)
