DISTRIBUTION:

Actias isis pelengensis (wingspan: males: mm; females: mm // Mfwl: mm; Ffwl: mm) flies in
Sulawesi: Banggai-Archipel, Indonesien.

This subspecies seems to be more of a regional variation (more brown, less yellow on the wings) that may not be consistent, but in some cases that is all a subspecies is, a regional variation with a fairly high level of consistency.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

Females extend a scent gland from the posterior tip of the abdomen to call in night-flying males.

The species/subspecies names indicate a similarity to A. isis and a specimen type locale from the Peleng, Sulawesi.
