DISTRIBUTION:

Actias ningpoana ningtaiwana (wingspan: males: mm; females: mm) flies in
Taiwan: Taoyuan.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

Actias ningpoana ningtaiwana probably broods continuously and the preferred larval foodplant is probably Rhododendron.

Bettaman has confirmed flights in July and October.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

Females extend a scent gland from the posterior tip of the abdomen to call in night-flying males.
