DISTRIBUTION:

Solus parvifenestratus parvifenestratus (wingspan: males: 70mm; females: ??) flies in
Burma: Kambaiti;
China: Yunnan;
northern Vietnam: Tonkin: Mt Fan Si Pan; and
possibly Laos.

Solus p. sinjaevi has been synonymized with the nominate subspecies by Brechlin 2007.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

Females extend a scent gland from the tip of their abdomens to "call" the males. Males use their antennae to hone in on the airbourne pheromone.
