DISTRIBUTION:

Salassa siriae (wingspan: males: 192mm; females: mm // forewing length: males: 94-97mm; females: mm) flies in
central Vietnam: Hoa Vang: Ba Na Mts; at elevations near 1470m.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

There is a flight in November and possibly at other times.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

EGGS, LARVAE, COCOONS AND PUPAE:

Larvae are probably covered with spine-bearing warts and spin loose cocoons near the ground amongst loose debris. The species name, siriae is honourific for Siri Vanschayck, daughter of Eric Vanschayck.
