Here are images of Adeloneivaia jason specimens from Costa Rica.
Males are relatively large with wingspans from 63-88mm. This species can be seen in both rain forest and cloud forest at elevations usually between 400 and 1600m.
Note the oblique, red, preapical line running from the hindwing costa, below the cell, to the inner margin. The outer edge of the hindwing cell is usually marked with a faint red streak along the vein.
The forewing usually has a small white cell marking, sometimes with an even smaller white dot nearer the costa. Possibly there are some specimens that lack the cell marking.
