Hi All,
As of November 17, all that I have left for sale on PEI are a small number of S. cynthia, a very small number of A. luna and good numbers of A. polyphemus.
Here are prices for Canadian livestock for 2016, updated on November 17:

Please specify species and quantities if you are placing an order and also be sure to include complete shipping address. I can receive
payment from Canadian sources via personal check, email bank transfer through online banking, Paypal (with Paypal there is a 5% Paypal transaction fee).
Shipping costs will vary depending upon your exact address and the size and weight of your livestock package.. There will also be appropriate GST or HST amounts
added to your order depending upon your province. I do remit all GST and HST amounts collected to government, and I do pay appropriate Provincial and
Canadian taxes on profits after expenses.

For the first time on WLSS live male and female of Epiphora intermedia are displayed courtesy of Bart Coppens: Kakamega Forest, Kenya.
Bart has also sent me a series of images (first time for pupae) of Citheronia laocoon from Goiania, Goias, Brazil.

Alain Coache has sent me recto and verso images of what I believe is a female Gynanisa jama festa from Benin, Africa. I will ask Thierry Bouyer to verify my tentative id. Thierry has confirmed that both the male and female from Benin on the festa page are most likely correct.

I have posted to the Periphoba parallela page an image of a fifth instar larva which has the long characteristic anal spikes of Periphoba species. To my knowledge only parallela flies so far south in Brazil. The larva of this species was unknown as of Lemaire's 2002 Hemileucinae, so I am going by a process of elimination in offering this determination.

Ryan Saint Laurent identified an image of a Ceratocampinae species from Rondonia, Brazil, as Adeloneivaia boisduvalii. I agreee with Ryan's determination and have posted the image to the boisduvalii file. This is first time, to my knowledge, this species has been confirmed in Rondonia.

Leroy Simon has sent beautiful image of live male and female Rhodinia rudloffi sinensis from Guangdong, China. Now posted.
Some time ago Leroy sent me an image of a fifth instar Copaxa knorkei feeding on Persea borbonia. Ivor Picardo has sent recto and verso images of a live female. Now posted.

Several images have been added to various Brazilian Dirphiopsis species.
For first time on WLSS a female Prohylesia friburgensis is depicted, and a live one at that.

Sphingidae Express
For the first time on Sphingidae of the Americas website a live Eumorpha translineatus from Sao Paulo, Brazil, is depicted, courtesy of Rodrigo Dela Rosa.

Catocala Capers
Larry Gall writes, "Hi folks, Darryl Willis and I have put together another large crop of Catocala eggs in 2016. Please feel free to request eggs from me by email, for any/all of these. Darryl still has several additional females going of amatrix, marmorata, robinsonii, vidua, and ulalume, but we don’t know yet what their egg production status is.
"I'd like to try to fulfill all shipments by mid December, and hopefully will be able to split the broods up if many of you request the same species. If you have eggs of any species to offer in exchange I'd also like to hear about that, especially any egg clutches of minuta or western species. Please feel free to forward this to any of your colleagues. Best, Larry"

This website has been created and is maintained by Bill Oehlke without government or institutional financial assistance. All expenses, ie., text reference support material, webspace rental from Bizland and 1&1, computer repairs/replacements, backups systems, software for image adjustments (Adobe Photoshop; L-View), ftp software, anti-virus protection, scanner, etc. are my own. The one-time-life-time membership fee that is charged at the time of the registration covers most of those expenses.
I very much appreciate all the many images that have been sent to me, or of which I have been granted permission to copy and post from other websites. All images on this site remain the property of respective photographers.
If you would like to contribute to the maintenace of this website by sending a contribution to
Bill Oehlke
Box 476

your donation would be much appreciated and would be used for
1) paying for webspace rental;
2) paying for computer maintenance and software upgrades;
3) purchases of additional text reference material (journals and books) in an effort to stay current with new species;
I also hope to expand the North American Catocala site as well as the Sphingidae of the Americas site, to worldwide sites, and that will require additional funds for reference materials, etc. Both of those site are linked from your WLSS homepage.
If you are mailing a check from USA, please use $1.25 postage (2015 rate). Donations can also be made through Paypal via the button below.
Donations are not required to maintain your standing as a WLSS member, nor do they gain you any preferencial treatment with regard to livestock and/or supplies (sleeves), compared to other WLSS members. All WLSS members get first crack at my annual offerings and get an approximate discount of 10% as compared to non-members.
I do usually ask donors if they have any special requests for information on WLSS, and I try to accomodate when appropriate or within my ability to do so.
