Delaware Counties

This distribution chart is a compilation of information from Paul Opler's Moths of North America Website, the Lepidopterists' Society Season Summary and personal communication with many residents (none yet) of Delaware. See comments below the map.

Actual ranges may, in many cases, be more expansive than noted. I suspect species listed, even those not shown on the map, are widely distributed throughout the state. There are some species (Samia cynthia) indicated that may now be extirpated and Citheronia sepulcralis may be rare.
