Hi All,
Happy Valentine's day on February 14
I am taking orders for cocoons and pupae, and I still have a nice inventory of the species listed at bottom of this page.

For the first time a specimen of Gonimbrasia (Nudaurelia) anna mirei, Cameroon, courtesy of Sebastian Brandner, is depicted on WLSS.

I have received my copies of the Entomo Satsphingia journals from Frank Meister and have been quite busy creating new files and moving some images around. I have now created new files, based on 2008-2011 DNA barcoding results, for most of the Arsenurinae, Saturniinae, Hemileucinae, and will soon do same for the Ceratocampinae.
I have done some updates (image relocations) to some Automerina, Automeris (abdominalis group), Catacantha, Rhodinia and Hyperchiria species. I am sure it will take the best part of 2012 just to reassign the many images that have been submitted in the past and to get them relocated into new designations.

I have just finished updates to Attacus section, and during my search for additional images was very pleased to find this image of a live Attacus inopinatus.
I was not able to find contact information from Craig Robson, but will continue to try to locate him to get okay for posting his image. There was no reference to restrictions on image use or contact information in his blog.
WLSS member Andrei Rosen sent me an image that we both think is most likely Attacus paraliae, but it has a strange?? location associated with it, and it may be an undescribed species from Papua New Guinea. See the Attacus section for image of spread moth.

I have recently received images of Gynanisa maja and Gonimbrasia wahlbergii from two different photographers in South Africa. I very much look forward to spring in North America.

I will shortly be selecting the winners of the 2011 Photography Contests (larva and adult moth), and hope to have the results posted very soon.
