Non-member Britt Bergman (Fulton County, May 26, 2003) writes, "I live in Atlanta, Georgia and found this amazing specimen (Antheraea polyphemus) on the tennis court. Perhaps a bat was her undoing as she is missing part of a wing."

Non-member Joyce Kemper of Dodgen Middle School in Marietta, Cobb County, reports Citheronia regalis with a larval image, September 12, 2003.

Member Robert Weast writes that his daughter has found about eighty wild polyphemus cocoons in Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County). February 16, 2004.

Member Taylor Jones reports luna, polyphemus and regalis from Augusta, especially along the Augusta Canal (protected wildlife habitat), on the Savannah River, in Augusta, Richmond County.
