Hemileuca lucina

On July 5, 2005, in Strafford, New Hampshire, Bonnie J. Caruthers found a Hemileuca lucina larva near her home.

Bonnie reared the larva successfully. A nice female emerged on September 20, 2005.

Bonnie was succesful in her attempt to have the female attract and pair with a wild male H. lucina. Below are three images copyright of the female with eggring.
