Saturnia Euryalus
Hyalophora euryalus/kasloensis fifth instar, 7-8 km west of Summerland, British, Columbia,
850m, courtesy of Marius Aurelian.
Summerland is in south central British Columbia, Canada. The red abdominal scoli are very suggestive of H. kasloensis.
Either kasloensis has a more westerly range than previously reported, or the occurence of red scoli in H. euryalus
larvae occurs more often than previously thought.
The moths from this larval batch showed the dark colouration of Hyalophora kasloensis.
