Superfamily: Bombycoidea Latreille, 1802 |
"Moon River" |
This species is similar to Salassa royi (forewing length: males: 56-61mm; females ??) from central and eastern Nepal and western Bhutan, but it is considerably smaller and the ocelli are not so wide in S. pararoyi (3-4mm, as compared to 5-8mm in royi).
There is much more white along the am and pm lines in S. pararoyi as compared to S. royi. In S. royi the am line is hardly visible and there is no white in the basal area.
