Monthly Newsletter

Hi,

The last month has certainly been a difficult one for people all over the world. My prayers are for world leaders everywhere that peace might properly be restored. I'm sure we would all like to see an end to the suffering worldwide.

Many thanks to those who have been clicking on the butterfly icons to help promote the WORLD'S LARGEST SATURNIIDAE SITE. Please continue to promote the site by clicking on the flashing butterfly images, both the one to the left and the one to the right of site pages.

Checkout the CONTESTS section as there are some nice prizes to be won. October 30, is the deadline for members' voting for the humorous stories/anecdotes contest. Submissions will be accepted up to October 25. To date there are only two anecdotal articles posted in the FUN section. One of them is mine and I am not in the contest! There is a $25.00 livestock prize for the most humorous entry.

November 25 is the deadline for member article submissions in the members' articles section. All of the articles currently linked there are eligible. There is also a $25.00 livestock prize available in this category.

Congrtulations to Robin Wilson who won ten free polyphemus cocoons for being the first to correctly answer the quiz contest under the butterfly icon in my autobiography section. The quiz question and answer are still on display.

In response to a request for listing files that contain pictures, I have begun using a red letter "P" to denote a picture is available. I am also using the ATL checklist for tropical Saturniidae to correct all classifications for new world tropical Saturniiidae. This process will probably be done over Christmas holidays and that is when I hope to be able to offer cd version with print quality images.

Current orders for cocoons and pupae should be sent out by end of month as I have sent a package to my father for redistribution in the U.S. Everything has been harvested here, but I am still waiting on some butterfly pupae deliveries. Both my father and I are short on Automeria io cocoons at this time and would be interested in purchasing them from members or trading for them.

Happy "mothing",
