Hi All,
As of September 19 most of the harvest is in on Prince Edward Island, but I still have some polyphemus feeding. The harvest of Sphinigidae: Pachysphinx modesta, Smerinthus cerisyi and Sphinx drupiferaum is complete, and all of the Dryocampa rubicunda have pupated and have mostly been spoken for, just a small handful of those left for sale as of October 7, 2020.
I did not have a good year with cecropia, and all of the columbia are already spoken for, but I do expect to have lots of nice luna and polyphemus for marketing along with three Sphingidae species and the rubicunda. There is also possibility that I will be able to acquire some promethea and Eacles imperialis pini from a friend and fellow breeder in Ontario. I have been told the promethea are coming, but the pini will not be available due to very low numbers.
As of September 19, many cocoons are already spoken for and I have commenced shipping.
As of October 7, in Canada, I still have luna, polyphemus, a small number of promethea, a handful of rubicunda and some nice Sphingidae. i encourage you to give them a try. Of the five species currently being offered, only two of them nectar. The others three are like Saturniidae adults and do not feed.
Hemaris diffinis, Snowberry Clearwing or Bumblebee Moth, Tim Dyson image, only in USA this year, $5.00
Smerinthus cerisyi, One-eyed or Cerisy's Sphinx, Jean Haxaire image, $5.00

If you have extra cocoons that are of North American species not listed above that you would be willing to sell to me at wholesale prices, please let me know. I can never get enough cecropia and I suspect there may be a shortage of luna. Happy to purchase those species as well. Let me know of anything you have in surplus. I am particularly interested in western US species.
Currently suppliers have indicated that there is a shortage of Eacles imperialis pupae and I only have a commitment of a small number of male imperialis pupae (no females), all from Ohio. I am also interested in additional eastern species like Callosamia angulifera, Callosamia securifera, more imperialis, especially females.
Stay safe and be well
