The genus Hyperchirioides belongs to the Subfamily Hemileucinae in the Saturniidae Family.

The single member of this genus resembles moths from genus Hyperchiria but has the eyespot is replaced by an elongate subrectangular patch, outlined in pale yellow, housing a weak yellow striga.

Larvae have urticating spines.
