It has also been reported in
eastern Colombia: Meta by Angela R. Amarillo, and in
northwestern Bolivia: La Paz, by Thibaud Decaens and G. Lecourt.
This species differs from anthonilis only by paler, redder colouration with a pinkish gray cast along the inner margin of the forewing postmedian line. C. anthonilis is grayer with a soft white cast immediately to the inner side of the postmedian line.
The recently described C. guayensis from French Guiana is a paler grey brown without a lighter cast on the median side of the pm line. C. rubrocanescens, also from La Paz, Bolivia, is intermediate between the reddish brown homoea, and the darker grey-brown, more contrasting C. anthonilis which has also been taken in La Paz, Bolivia.
