DISTRIBUTION:

Eubergia chuquisaciana (wingspan: males: 40mm; females: mm // forewing length: males: 19-22mm; females: ) flies in
Bolivia: Chuquisaca: road Padilla Monteagudo: 6 km E of Puente Acero, -19.31, -64.1, 2009-07-03; Muyupampa, 1650m,
at elevations near 1600-1650m.

Brechlin & Meister indicate this moth might be the same as E. beatifica [sic] form rufa

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

Specimens have been taken in July and October in Bolivia (Mirror). There may be additional flight months.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

Males use their more highly developed antennae to seek out females who release an airbourne pheromone into the night sky.

EGGS, LARVAE, COCOONS AND PUPAE:

Eggs are deposited in clusters of 6-40+ on hostplant twigs. Larvae have urticating spines and are gregarious, especially in the early instars.
