Saturniidae of Sri Lanka

Map of Sri Lanka

"The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, is an island country (25,332 sq mi) in the northern Indian Ocean off the southeastern coast of India in South Asia. Known until 1972 as Ceylon, Sri Lanka has maritime borders with India to the northwest across the Gulf of Mannar and Palk Strait, and the Maldives to the southwest.

"The island consists mostly of flat-to-rolling coastal plains, with mountains rising only in the south-central part. Amongst these is the highest point Pidurutalagala, reaching 2,524 metres (8,281 ft) above sea level. The climate of Sri Lanka can be described as tropical and warm. Its position endows the country with a warm climate moderated by ocean winds and considerable moisture." Wiki.
