Male: Hyalophora columbia gloveri x Hyalophora cecropia

Hyalophora cecropia and Hyalophora columbia gloveri both fly in Ward County, North Dakota.

The above specimen responded to a caged female cecropia on June 6, 2003. It appears to be a natural hybrid and Derek reports it is slightly smaller than the western Canadian Hyalophora columbia gloveri population.

I (Bill Oehlke) did some digital wing surgery, but did not touch the faint red band just outside the buff-white postmedian line.
