Located in western Ecuador, bordered to the west by Manabi (northern half) and by the Pacific Ocean (southern half), to the north by Manabi and Los Rios, to the east by Los Rios, Canar and Azuay, and to the south by Eloro Province, Guayas is host to many Saturniidae species.
