Several successful pairings in May 2012, two were in part fertile.
Rearing of the caterpillars was conducted without problems on Liquidambar though with some losses in the last stage, and a subsequent liquefaction of some pupae. Male and female pupae were obtained, but for the moment only a small amount of males have emerged , females seem to remain blocked for overwintering, or perhaps they will require the injection of a molting hormone to induce their hatching.
A very big thank you to Serge (Jevgeni Azhypa) who gave me eggs in 2011, which allowed to secure the Actias sjoeqvisti stock.
