Bunaea alcinoe larvae, courtesy of Jacolene Meyer.
I am rearing some Bunaea alcinoe on cabbage tree and took a picture of one of the lifestages for you with my brother's digital camera. They are about 3 and a half weeks old. I also took a hard copy of the moth with eggs for you, but I still have to develop the film and scan it. I don't have a digital cam anymore and am so sorry that I couldn't take fotos of all the life stages. I am planning to let the moths mate and lay eggs after pupation and emerging - will also try to capture some images from there.
Further I will probably sell the remaining moth adults.
I enjoyed the newsletter.
Keep well
