Saturniidae of Burma = Myanmar

I have duplicated the Thailand list to create this tentative list for Burma = Myanmar. There will probably be some additions and deletions as the list becomes more refined. I have added Rinaca heinrichi, based on images and listing in Bernard d'Abrera's Saturniidae Mundi, as reported to me by Chuck Hale.

Myanmar is bordered by India and Bangladesh in the northwest; the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea in the southwest; China to the north and northeast: Yunnan; and northern Laos (eastern central) and Thailand to the southeast. With a long north to south orientation, Myanmar has the potential for many closely allied but different species. I expcet this list will grow over the years.

Luigi Racheli (LR) reports Salassa excellens and Salassa katschinka from northern Myanmar.
Burma, the old name for Myanmar, is northwest of Thailand.
I have added Antheraeopsis castanea based on images from Stefan Naumann. Dr. Naumann has also sent me information in February 2009. Those species now followed by SN are currently accepted as present in Myanmar, in the northern state of Kachin. Other species listed, without SN, may be present in more southerly states.
