GAMELIOIDES OF THE WORLD

GAMELIOIDES Lemaire, 1988

The genus Gamelioides belongs to the Hemileucini Tribe of Subfamily Hemileucinae in the Saturniidae Family. Larvae have urticating spines, and members of this genus are found in Ecuador and Peru and possibly in Colombia.

The iris of the hindwing eyespot is orange or red.
