HIRPSIYNJAEVIA Brechlin, 2019

The genus Hirpsinjaevia belongs to the Hemileucini Tribe of Subfamily Hemileucinae in the Saturniidae Family. Larvae have urticating spines, and members of this genus are found in South America as eastern Andean species, flying at altitudes, thus far, of 3035m.

Member(s) of this species are probably quite simiar to those in the Hirpida genus, but Hirpsinjaevia viksinjaevi is very small.

P indicates an image is available. The first country listed is the specimen type locality.
