DISTRIBUTION:

Bolivia: Chuquisaca; Santa Cruz, at elevations from 550m to 1600m.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

Moths have been taken in February-March, September-October, December suggesting at least three broods annually.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

Females "call" at night with an airbourne pheromone. Males fly into the night sky and pick up the scent with their antennae.

EGGS, LARVAE AND PUPAE:

Larvae have well developed thoracic spines in the early instars. Pupation is in a subterranean chamber.

The species name is indicative of a close similarity in appearance to flavosignata and a smaller size (parvissima).

Larval Food Plants

It is hoped that this alphabetical listing followed by the common name of the foodplant will prove useful. The list is not exhaustive. Experimenting with closely related foodplants is worthwhile.
