DISTRIBUTION:

The Adafroptilum kitongaensis moth (wingspan: males: approx. 47 mm; females: probably larger) flies in eastern Tanzania. There may be more than one Kitonga in Tanzania.

Adafroptilum kitongaensis larval hosts are unknown.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

EGGS, LARVAE, PUPAE, COCOONS:

Eggs are deposited

Larvae probably descend the host plant at pupation time and spin up a thin cocoon at the base of hostplants
