DISTRIBUTION:

The Antheraea minahassae moth (wingspan 130 -140 mm) flies in Indonesia: Pulau Peleng.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

Antheraea minahassae larva probably feed on Shorea glauca (Dipterocarpaceae). Moths are on the wing in December and there are probably several broods.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

Females attract the night flying males with an airbourne pheromone.

Males have falcate wings.
