DISTRIBUTION:

The Adafroptilum rotundum moth (wingspan: males: 53mm; females: probably larger) flies in Zambia and Malawi at elevations as high as 4500 feet.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

Moths are on the wing in January-February.

Adafroptilum rotundum larval hosts are unknown.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

EGGS, LARVAE, PUPAE, COCOONS:

Eggs are deposited

Larvae probably descend the host plant at pupation time and spin up a thin cocoon at the base of hostplants
