DISTRIBUTION:

The Antheraea sumbawaensis moth (wingspan approx. 120-130mm) flies in Indonesia.

" Etymology: A toponimic name which referred to the collecting place, the island Sumbawa (Indonesia). Type locality: Indonesien / Sumbawa (E), (Prov. Nusa Tenggara Barat)"

Females attract the night flying males with an airbourne pheromone.
