Wikispecies indicates this species is synonymous with Cricula tonkintrifenestratoides, Brechlin, 2010:
Type locality: Vietnam, Tonkin, Mt. Fan-si-pan, Sa Pa (= Chapa), 1600-1900 m., 22.20ºN, 103.40ºE; collected March 15-25, 1995 by Victor Sinjaev. I do not know which species name takes precedence, and I am not sure that the Wiki account is accurate.

Cricula tonkintrifenestratoides Vietnam: Bac Phan State: Mt. Fan Si Pan: Sa Pa, 22.2, 103.4, March 20, 1995.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

The holotype male was taken May 10, 2008; examination of genitalia by S. Naumann. Additional specimens have been taken in northern Myanmar in April and may. Specimens of Cricula tonkintrifenestratoideshave been taken in Vietnam in March.

Larvae will probably accept fruit tree foliage: apple, cherry, pear.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

Females extend a scent gland from the tip of the abdomen to call in the night-flying males.

Males use well-developed antennae to track the airbourne pheromone.

EGGS, LARVAE, COCOONS AND PUPAE:

The species name is probably honourific for a woman named Aungsansuukyi.

Larval Food Plants

It is hoped that this alphabetical listing followed by the common name of the foodplant will prove useful. The list is not exhaustive. Experimenting with closely related foodplants is worthwhile.
