Cerodirphia ockendeni
(wingspan: males: 44mm; females: probably larger // Mfwl: 26mm; Ffwl: larger) flies in Peru: Puno; at elevations near 2000m.
FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:
This moth probably broods continuously, but the only record is for the dry season in May.
ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:
Males use highly developed antennae to locate females at night by tracking their airbourne pheromone plumes.
EGGS, LARVAE, COCOONS AND PUPAE:
Larve feed gregariously and have urticating spines.
