The Gonimbrasia richelmanni moth
flies in central Africa.
Bouyer, 1999, equates this species with
G. rectilineata.

Gonimbrasia richelmanni moth flies during the months of
In central Africa larvae are reported on
Erythrophleum africanum, Julbernardia paniculata and
Diplorhynchus condylocarpon.
ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:
Eclosion is from
underground pupae.
Both sexes fly at night with the males coming in to
lights around midnight, the scenting time of the females.

EGGS, LARVAE AND PUPAE:
At maturity, larvae dig
subterranean tunnels and chambers in which to pupate.
