DISTRIBUTION:

The Holocerina wensis moth (wingspan: males: 42-51mm; females: 67mm) flies in
eastern Burkina Faso, (Rodolphe Rougerie) Africa, in the area of Parc National du W.

BOLD SYSTEMS reports it in
Cameroon and
Nigeria.

Note the elongation of the anal angle of the hindwing, and the very concave outer margin.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

Holocerina wensis have been taken thus far only in October by Jeremy Bouyer. Larval hosts are unknown.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

Females call in the males with an airbourne pheromone, which is detected and tracked in flight via the males' highly developed antennae.
