Nudaurelia jamesoni rubricostalis (wingspan: males: ; females: probably larger) flies in Cameroon.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

The Nudaurelia fasciata moth probably flies in the months of December-January and possibly at other times.

Mature larvae pupate in subterranean chambers.

The genus name Nudaurelia means 'naked gold' (Pinhey).

The species name "jamesoni" is honourific for Jameson. The subspecies name is for the red coloration of the costa.
