DISTRIBUTION:
Orthogonioptilum lemairei
(wingspan: males: 51-62mm; females: 79mm) flies in
southwestern Republic of Central Africa:
Bangui, Lobaye, Sebokele.
The male forewing is quite falcate with one large distinctive
hyaline area, which may or may not completely encircle an island.
There are two smaller hyaline areas above the largest one.
The hindwing outer margin is relatively evenly convex with two very
small
points of light in the cell area. Basic ground colour is brownish-grey.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:
This moth flies
in April, June and December.
Orthogonioptilum lemairei larval hosts are unknown.
