DISTRIBUTION:

Orthogonioptilum violascens garnieri (wingspan: males: mm; females: larger) flies in
southeastern regions of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Natural History Museum lists Shaba and Kasumbalesa in DRC.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

This moth probably flies in January, and possibly again in the summer and fall.

Orthogonioptilum violascens garnieri larval hosts are unknown.
