DISTRIBUTION:

Salassa fansipana flies on Mount Fan Si Pan in northern Vietnam at elevations between 1600–2240 m. It has been named after the location of its collecting place.

EGGS, LARVAE, COCOONS AND PUPAE:

Larvae are covered with spine-bearing warts and spin loose cocoons near the ground amongst loose debris.
