DISTRIBUTION:

Salassa megastica flies in Dak Nong in southwestern Vietnam. It has also been taken in northeastern Myanmar = Burma: Kachin.

This is a large species with large greenish eyespots.

FLIGHT TIMES AND PREFERRED FOOD PLANTS:

Specimens have been taken in April.

ECLOSION, SCENTING AND MATING:

EGGS, LARVAE, COCOONS AND PUPAE:

Larvae are covered with spine-bearing warts and spin loose cocoons near the ground amongst loose debris.
